Understanding the Natal Chart

Our natal charts are our life plans. They embody all the possible versions of us. For that, understanding what the promise of a natal chart is very crucial. If we know our natal chart well, we can get to know ourselves better, hence plan our lives better.

Firstly, each natal chart has its own struggle. There is nothing like “born with a privileged natal chart.” Some people can have a chart full of squares, some can have full of trines; but both have their own struggles. For example, a chart can be full of trines; but this person might get used to having everything ready; so, in the first difficulty; might have a breakdown. Someone else’s chart might be full of squares; which means a life of struggle; but if that person uses that wisely; it becomes the key to the success.

120-degree aspects, trines, are the aspects of easy energy; and 90-degree aspects, squares, are the aspects of tension or difficulty. However, this might not always be the case. A trine aspect between two planets might lead to greed, laziness, or selfishness; similarly, a square aspect sometimes limits impulsion; overly high sex drive, or some tendencies of hypomania.

For example, someone might have their third house in Taurus; and its ruler Venus square Saturn; let’s say at the same time they have Mars trine Uranus. In this case, Venus square Saturn balances and limits the impulsive or careless effects of Mars trine Uranus.

Secondly, natal charts are timeless, so they are more valuable than predictive charts. If we know our natal charts well; we can make use of transits, progressions, eclipses etc. better. For example, let’s say someone is afraid of Saturn transiting their 10th house of career. There are various scenarios here; negatively this person might lose their job; or get promoted or found their own business. Here, the quality of Saturn and the 10th house in this person’s natal chart are crucial, and the actions should be taken accordingly. Solar Return, Progressed, Synastry, Solar Arc, charts cannot be understood and analyzed well, if there is no proper understanding of the natal chart.

In addition, natal charts can never be read fully. There are 12 sign, 12 houses, 36 decans, 360 degrees, hundreds of fixed stars, and thousands of asteroids, and dozens of aspects. All of these create a huge combination. Even if you have your chart read by 100 different astrologers, you can still hear things that you have not heard or realized before. Even as a professional astrologer; I have epiphanies about my own natal chart. With them, we can get to know all the versions of us in alternate universes. 😊 Another question widely asked is that “Why do two people that was born in the same hospital at the same time have different personality?” For that my answer is “synastry” because we have to see charts as organic unities; and people’s natal charts interact. As these two were raised in different families; their synastry charts with their parents, or siblings; activated different parts in their natal charts.

Finally, my approach is more psychological when analyzing the natal chart. I want my readings to shed some light on understanding the self. Understanding myself was what got me into astrology, so I want to help my clients on this matter in my readings. After all, if we know our natal charts well, we can see or even, to high extent, change what we get. 😊
